HOOT
- If you tell a joke in our house, stuff
- your fingers in your ears:
- the way that we all laughs enough
- to salt your eyes with tears.
- Mum gurgles like her washing-machine
- Dad booms like a ferry in fog
- my sister chuckles like her playschool tambourine
- my brother croaks like a hiccuping frog
- Aunty Jill trills like her mobile phone
- Uncle Ray growls like an upset tum
- Gran cackles like a startled hen
- Grandad snorts like a farting bum
- the baby sputters like a squall of rain
- cousin Bob brays like a runaway train.
- If you make us laugh at our house, you
- will wish you never had:
- our deafening caterwauling zoo
- will drive
you
mad.
